500 players, content creators, members of the media and Rioters from across Europe gathered in London for the start of the League of Legends’ 10th birthday celebration – an experiential event and LAN party at London’s ExCeL – the first in a global series of online and live events celebrating the past and future of League of Legends.
As the lead comms agency, European press office and event support team-combined, we helped Riot announce to the world a host of new titles that were in development. At the London event, we hosted 27 European media for a series of roundtable Q&As and 1-2-1 interviews, which gave context to the news announcements.
The team managed streamer booth schedules, product demo areas and the CEO’s schedule. This was done alongside coordination with comms teams across Europe to ensure that the news went far and wide, delivering 867 media articles and 143,499 Twitch hours watched, making it the third-most-watched event on Twitch that day and the most-written-about game event of the year.
