From a female bond to a café just for cats, we think we’ve just about seen it all today! Here are a few of our favourite picks from this year’s April Fools’ Day stories…
A New Bond
The Daily Mail ran an ‘exclusive’ in this morning’s paper announcing the new Bond, revealing Night Manager actress Olivia Colman as the new female 007. For a moment we were embracing a diverse change in the Bond line up.
ITV’s ‘Loose Men’
The crafty team at ITV announced a new chat show, Loose Men, a spin-off from Loose Women with an all-male cast including Mark Wright, Pete Andre and Vernon Kay. Add Idris Elba to the line up and you would have a few loyal viewers at Kazoo!
Pro Green’s New Brew
A cheeky take on celebrity seeding, the London rapper received his very own personalised box of PG tips renamed Professor Green Tea. A simple play on words is sometimes all it takes.
The Chew Chew Train
Purely for the cute factor we had to include the special dog carriage by The North Yorkshire Moors railway. We are sure this would lead the way in pedigree dog services.
Malcolm’s Cat Café
And of course we couldn’t resist adding one of our own…Young’s Seafood announced the UK’s first fine dining restaurant exclusively for cats. Malcolm’s Cat Café, named in honour of the cat in the Young’s adverts, which we said would serve a selection of dishes from the Young’s range including steamed fish on a bed of crispy biscuits with a sprig of catnip. Yummy!
